UNIVERSITY OF ZAMBIA TO TRAIN STUDENTS IN WITCHCRAFT, FIRST INTAKE OF 20 “WITCHES” ACCEPTED

Report has it that UNESCO has given the University of Zambia $340,000 to develop a Degree Programme to safeguard Intangible Heritage with the first intake comprising of 20 students.

Zambian Watchdog reports that Intangible Heritage comprises of practices such as Witchcraft, social practices such as expression through music, Knowledge, skills-as well as the instruments, objects, artifacts and rituals, the Zambia National Commission for UNESCO has explained.

According to Dr. Charles Ndakala, the Zambia National Commission for UNESCO Secretary General, despite efforts in safeguarding cultural heritage, there are cases of destruction of priceless culture heritage in certain countries which threatens traditions and customs.

When Minister of Higher Education, Nkandu Luo announced that the University of Zambia will commission studies in witchcraft, this was dismissed as fake news.

Now UNESCO has confirmed the witchcraft course.

LOVER OF MARRIED WOMAN (TOYIN) WHO JUMPED INTO LAGOS LAGOON, LANDS IN HOSPITAL. VIDEO

                   Toyin

New report has emerged about the woman who parked her car on 3rd Mainland bridge in Lagos and jumped into a Lagoon. According to Nick Sparkles, the woman who committed suicide is based in Texas in the United States and was married with 3 kids..

It was alleged that her husband Tunde works or used to work with Access Bank in Lagos.

Toyin and Lover

The wife allegedly got involved with another guy in Nigeria and they both got involved in series of adulterous activities. Her lover, an older guy as well swindled or collected over N10m from her.

She went to arrest him only for him to publish nude pictures of them together in order to prove his innocence to the Police that whatever happened between both of them was consensual, that he's not a fraudster as claimed by the married woman.

The blackmail from the man got to her husband and this compelled the husband to conduct a DNA test on all his 3 children which later turned out that they are not all his kids after all. Those kids belong to someone else. On Saturday, 9th of June, 2018, the woman drove her truck to the bridge, parked her Ford SUV van on the 3rd Mainland Bridge and jumped inside the lagoon on a suicide mission which is a resultant effect of the blackmail.

An update on the report reveals that her lover who duped her of N10 Million and released her Unclad pictures is currently in the hospital under police custody (as seen in the video below). He is said to have suffered from shock, upon hearing what had happened as a result of his illicit affair.

LATE CHIEF MKO ABIOLA’S DAUGHTER, HAFSAT, APOLOGIES TO BUHARI

Hafsat Abiola-Costello

Hafsat Abiola has apologised to President Muhammadu Buhari for what her father, the presumed winner of the June 12, 1993, presidential election,  Chief MKO Abiola, might have done to him.

Speaking during the Special national honours investiture of her late father during which the president apologized for the election annulment, she said she did what her father would have done if he was still alive.

She added: “Who would have ever believed given the relationship that you (President Buhari) had with Chief MKO Abiola that you would be the instrument God will use to honour this man and to bring recognition and healing to the country.

“You apologized to my family and it touched my heart. You know that I also lost my mother in this struggle so that apology meant so much.

“Let me use this opportunity, on behalf of the Chief MKO Abiola because I know what he would have done, I use this opportunity to apologize to you, to apologize to your family, anything that he might have done to harm you and to harm your family.

“Let me also say at this juncture that Chief MKO Abiola was so committed to us saying farewell to poverty in Nigeria and today we have more people in poverty in Nigeria than we had in 1993.

“I read the statement that you made where you said we should prepare now to wage a battle for the defence of the people of Nigeria against those who think of themselves as the landlords of Nigeria.

“Let me say to you that by recognizing June 12, you awaken so many heroes and heroines of Nigeria’s struggle who have shown because they stood firm on June 12 that money cannot buy them.

“If there is any march that we need to march, if there is any protest that we need to be present to protest, you have called up your own new Army for the defence of this country.

“And President Muhammadu Buhari, this fight will not take you, God willing, as it has taken MKO but let us fight and bring about the conclusion of MKO struggle that the Nigerian people should be the ones in full control of this country.

“It is not for a few landlords whoever they may be, it is for the 200 million people of Nigeria.”

Also speaking, a human rights lawyer, Femi Falana, urged the president to prevail on his security agencies in the country, in the spirit of June 12, to start to respect the fundamental rights of all Nigerians.

According to him, the human rights community will work assiduously with the Buhari’s administration to end the reckless killings in the country.

He noted that seven administrations before Buhari’s administration pretended over the June 12 elections.

SARAKI, AHMED DENY CONNECTION WITH OFFA BANK ROBBERS

The Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki and the Kwara State Governor, H. E. Abdulfatah Ahmed have denied association with the armed robbers who killed 33 persons during the bank robbery at Offa in April.

In a statement signed by Saraki’s spokesperson, Yusuph Olaniyonu, the claim is a “baseless allegation and another ploy by the police to implicate” the Senate President.

Saraki said there was no way he could have been associated with armed robbery against his people.
“When the Offa robbery incident happened, I was the first top public official to pay a visit to the place and right there in the palace of the traditional ruler, I put a call through to this same Mr. Ibrahim Idris, the IGP, requesting him to make certain specific security arrangements as demanded by the people.”

The Senate President instead alleged the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Ibrahim Idris of framing in order to implicate him.

“This plot is concocted to embarrass me and, in the mind of the IGP, it is his own response after his refusal to honour the invitation by the National Assembly, headed by me, for him to come and offer explanations on the rampant killings and violence across the country.”

Saraki  promised to honor the police’s invitation without delay even though, his indictment is an “abuse of the criminal investigation process aimed at intimidating and over-overawing the legislature, thereby obstructing it from doing its work”.

Similarly, Governor Ahmed has described the allegation against him as “false”.
In a statement issued by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Communication, Muyideen Akorede, governor Ahmed said, at no point did the Kwara State government directly provide funds to any group known as “Good Boys” for any purpose.

He said, if any of the beneficiaries of their empowerment scheme used the SME credit secured from the government to purchase a vehicle which was then alleged to have been used for an act of criminality, the Kwara State Governor and indeed the state government could not be held liable for such actions since neither had prior knowledge of such intention.

He said the state neither encouraged nor supported thuggery.

Meanwhile, the police has said that, Saraki is being invited “to answer allegations indicting him from confessions of five gang leaders arrested for active participation in Offa bank robberies and killings of 33 innocent persons.”

IMO APC PETITIONS NWC, WANTS OKOROCHA SUSPENDED

The Imo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has petitioned the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party asking it to suspend Governor Rochas Okorocha for what the state chairman, Hillary Eke termed “anti-party activities”.

Eke in the petition signed by the Publicity Secretary of the party, Nwabueze Oguchienti, accused Okorocha of establishing a parallel party by appointing an acting chairman, Mr Chris Oguoma, in the state against the constitution of the party.

Eke said if not promptly checked by the national leadership of the party, the action was capable of plunging the state into avoidable crisis.

Governor Okorocha had two weeks ago announced Oguoma from Owerri Municipal Council as the acting chairman of the party following his loss at the ward, local government and state congresses held in Imo.

The petition, read: “Pursuant to Article 21D (11) of the APC Constitution, the State Working Committee (SEC) has made appropriate recommendations to the National Working Committee of our great party, to take adequate disciplinary measures against the Governor of Imo State, Owelle Anayo Ethelbert Okorocha, for engaging in various anti-party activities, which could lead to breakdown of law and order in the state.”

The party also said it had noticed with concern, the illegality perpetrated by some elements in the party after the success of the congresses in the state.

The statement alleged that some elements, who it described as “impersonators,” led by Oguoma, acting on his purported appointment by Okorocha, have been defrauding members of the party, particularly council chairmanship and councillorship aspirants seeking to participate in the proposed July 14 local government election.

It said the only legally constituted executive of the party in the state is the one led by Dr. Eke, which was legally permitted to handle such matter.

JOHESU INSISTS ON GOING ON WITH STRIKE ACTION

The Joint Health Sector Union (JOHESU) on Monday said it would continue its ongoing nationwide strike until the Federal Government implement certain agreements reached between the two parties on Sept. 30, 2017.

JOHESU disclosed this at a peaceful rally organised by its national body in Abuja, saying it would not be deterred by the court’s injunction compelling its members to return to work.

Mr Josiah Biobelemoye, National Chairman of the union said the rally was aimed at updating members with current developments regarding the ongoing strike, including the recent court order.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the National Industrial Court (NIC) gave an order on May 25, 2018 compelling JOHESU to call off the strike, which began on April 18.

Biobelemoye emphasised that the union had every right to obey or challenge the court order.

“I own members the responsibility to update them on happenings between us and the government to enable them take decisive position. And whatever they decide is final.

“We call on the government to implement our upward adjustment and other things as contained in the agreement of Sept. 30, 2017.

“No going back on the strike until those things are met’’ he said.

He noted that since the union embarked on strike on April 18, the federal government had met with the leadership eight times.

He however, described the meetings as one step forward and two steps backward.

He mentioned that the amount of money owed the union is N22.6billion and added that due to the intervention of the National Salaries Income and Wages Commission it had been reduced to N16.5 billion.

He said JOHESU’s agreement on the reduction of the entitlement from N22.6 billion to N16. 5 billion was geared toward ensuring lasting solutions to the crisis.

“I urge you to stand up for your right, do not yield to pressure or threat in whatever form by the government.

“Hence, we are not going back to work until they pay us our full entitlement,” he reiterated.
