B. REQUIREMENTS

1. Professor (CONUASS 7)
For the position of Professor;

Candidates must be holders of relevant Bachelor’s, Master’s and Ph.D Degrees from recognized Universities with at least two (2) years teaching, research and administrative experience as Reader in a recognized University
Candidates must possess demonstrable competence to provide academic leadership in his/her academic discipline
Candidates must also be specialists in advertised fields of study with evidence of at least fifteen (15) scholarly publications in learned journals in University and apex research/training institutes, plus evidence of successful supervision of at least ten (10) Masters/PhD theses
Candidates must provide evidence of community service and be registered or registrable with the relevant professional/scientific bodies as applicable
ICT skill is essential
Candidates must also have evidence of NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.

2. Reader (CONUASS 6)
For the position of Reader;

Candidates must be holders of relevant Bachelor’s, Master’s and Ph.D Degrees from recognized Universities with at least two (2) years teaching, research and administrative experience as Senior Lecturer in a recognized University
Candidates must possess demonstrable competence to provide academic leadership in his/her academic discipline

3. Senior Lecturer (CONUASS 5)
For the position of a Senior Lecturer;

Candidates must possess a good Bachelor’s, Master’s and Ph.D Degrees from recognized Universities with at least two (2) years teaching, research and administrative experience as Lecturer I in a recognized University
Candidates must have evidence of at least eight (8) scholarly publications in learned journals in University and apex research/training institutes, plus evidence of successful supervision of at least three (3) Master’s/Ph.D theses
Candidates must be registered or registrable with the relevant professional/scientific bodies as applicable
Evidence of community service will be an added advantage
ICT skill is essential
Candidates must have evidence of NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate.

4. Lecturer I (CONUASS 4)
For the position of Lecturer I;

Candidates must be holders of relevant Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees, from recognized Universities
Candidates with Ph.D Degree will have an added advantage
Candidates must have at least three (3) years teaching, research and administrative experience as Lecturer II in a recognized University
Candidates must also have evidence of at least five (5) scholarly publications in learned journals in University and apex research/training institutes (or three journal publications and participation in four (4) professional projects)
Candidates must be registered or registrable with the relevant professional/scientific bodies as applicable
ICT skill is essential
Candidates must have evidence of NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate.

5. Lecturer II (CONUASS 3)
For the position of Lecturer II;

Candidates must be holders of relevant Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from recognized Universities with at least three (3) years of teaching and research experience as Assistant Lecturer in a recognized University
Candidates with Ph.D. Degree will have an added advantage
Candidates must also have evidence of at least three (3) publications in learned journals in University and apex research/training institutes or participation in at least two (2) professional/research projects
Candidates must be registered or registrable with the relevant professional/scientific bodies as applicable
ICT skill is essential
Candidates must have evidence of NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate.

6. Senior Librarian (CONUASS 4)
For the position of Senior Librarian;

Candidates must be holders of Bachelor’s, Master’s and Ph.D Degrees in Library & Information Science from recognized Universities and must have been on the rank of Librarian I in the University system with at least two (2) years cognate working experience
Candidates must have evidence of at least eight (8) scholarly publications in learned journals in University and apex research/training institutes. Candidates must be members of NLA and registered with LRCN
ICT skill is essential
Candidates must have evidence of NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate.

7. Librarian I (CONUASS 3)
For the position of Librarian I;

Candidates must be holders of Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Library & Information Science from recognized Universities and must have been on the rank of Librarian II in the University system with at least 3 years cognate working experience

C. HOW TO APPLY
STEP 1: CREATE AN ACCOUNT

Click on the 'Create Account' Menu from the home page of this website and fill up all the fields. Choose your password wisely as it would be part of your login credentials later. Choose your preferred faculty and department appropriately, the available jobs under each department will automatically be listed, choose as appropriate. Click on 'Submit' to create your account. You will receive an Email detailing your Application Number and your password (as created by you) with further instructions. The application number will also be displayed after successful submission. Make sure you record it as you need it and your password to log back into the Portal.

STEP 2: LOGIN WITH YOUR APPLICATION NO AND PASSWORD

Use the application number sent to your mail or displayed when you create your account and your chosen password to log into the portal again to continue with your application. On login in, notice that some fields have been automatically filled. Those are some of the information we recieved from you on creating your account. Fill the other blank fields. However, you can still edit some of the pre-filled fields. Also notice that email address, phone no, faculty/department/unit and Job title are not included. Make sure you chose your email address, phone no and Job positions correctly when creating your account as you may not be able to change them.

STEP 3: SAVE YOUR ENTRIES AND PROCEED

You can then proceed by filling all other required information by clicking the menus at the top of the page. Academic Records, work experience, memberships, certifications, research, award/prizes, workshops, interests, have almost the same processes. Just fill all the required fields. Your entries automatically appear in a grid at the right side of the page, you can however, edit or delete any of the entries if you so wish. There's no limit to the number of entries you can key-in on each of the menus. Remember you can leave blank any of the menus or fields to which you do not have relevant information.

STEP 4: UPLOAD YOUR PASSPORT AND CREDENTIALS

You will be required to upload all your credentials here including your passport-sized photograph. Remember however, that all your credentials must be in .pdf format not more than 200kb. Likewise, the passport must be in .jpg format only and not more than 100kb. All uploaded credentials automatically appear in a grid on clicking the 'Upload' button.

STEP 5: REFERENCES

Supply your referee's details as specified. Meanwhile, your referees are required to send in their reference letter by filling an e-Form. Form link will be sent to their respective email addresses. Note that the reference letters must be sent in earnest, failure of which may inhibit your chances of getting shortlisted.

STEP 6: MY DASHBOARD

On 'My Dashboard' Menu, there are three (3) tabs there; My Messages, My Checklist, and My Enteries. You can always view all private messages to you from this dashboard menu, endeavour to check often. My checklist shows you all specified menus you have filled and submitted successfully. You would see a 'Mark' sign on each of the menus you have adequately completed, and 'Wrong' sign on each of the menus to which you do not have any information. My Enteries show brief details about you. However, you are required to click the 'click to see the full enteries' link below to print your application form. You may wish to keep that for your record purposes only.

ON COMPLETION

You have the previledge to always login and check your enteries, update as necessary and check your private messages as long as possible. But, any update to your information after we might have recieved your enteries and initiated processes on it shall be disregarded. You shall be duly communicated to, if there's need for more information on your enteries. Meanwhile, make sure all information supplied is to the best of your knowledge, complete and correct. We will not accept any false information as a mistake or an act of ignorance.
